Australian retailers are reportedly set to announce the availability of Ubisoft's hotly-anticipated title 'Watch Dogs' - a hacker-themed video game - this week. The platforms on which the game is being launched in Australia include the PC, as well as the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 (PS4), the Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3 (PS3) game consoles.
With the new version of the game available for both Microsoft's and Sony's previous-generation and latest-generation game consoles, Ubisoft has elucidated the differences between the 'Watch Dogs' versions for the old and new consoles.
Ubisoft said that 'Watch Dogs' game will run in 900p on PS 4 and 792p on Xbox One; with both versions to run at 30fps. As compared to the 'Watch Dogs' version for PS4, Xbox 360/PS3 gamers will have fewer NPCs, in some areas, on the single-player side. However, that will not have any impact on the core gameplay.
Moreover, Xbox 360/PS3 gamers will also - for multiplayer - miss out on the 'Watch Dogs' game's Decryption competitive multiplayer mode as well as the ability to free roam with multiple gamers.
Meanwhile, Ubisoft has already announced the 'Watch Dogs' game as its second most-preordered title thus far. According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemont, 'Watch Dogs' is "perfectly positioned to become the industry's most successful new IP in history.
